Caitlin McKinlay
Caitlin’s journey into cabinet making began with a pre-apprenticeship in secondary school. After exploring other career paths, she returned to her passion for cabinet making, much to Gary’s delight. Joining iCab Cabinets as an apprentice in 2017, Caitlin has grown into a key team member, now managing the drawing and ordering for all new projects.
Chris Lydom
Chris joined iCab Cabinets in 2021, bringing extensive knowledge and experience to the team. Having previously worked with Gary at another company, their collaborative history and shared dedication to quality craftsmanship made Chris an immediate asset. As Gary’s go-to expert on the factory floor, Chris plays a vital role in ensuring every project meets the highest standards.
Gerritt Maiai
Gerritt joined iCab Cabinets in 2022, reuniting with his former colleague Chris. Fresh off completing his apprenticeship and earning The Gordon TAFE “Apprentice of the Year” award, Gerritt’s passion for cabinet making is evident in his pursuit of perfection on every project. His attention to detail and commitment to excellence make him an integral part of the team.
Jordan Manakauskas
Jordan started his career as a stair builder, honing his skills in interpreting plans and mastering attention to detail. In 2024, he brought his expertise to iCab Cabinets, seeking a new challenge. His background in precision work and strong design capabilities have quickly made him an invaluable member of the team.
Gary Paech
Gary began his cabinet making career in 1998, completing his apprenticeship with three different employers. This diverse experience gave him a comprehensive understanding of the trade and inspired him to launch iCab Cabinets in 2012. As the founder and director, Gary’s hands-on leadership and passion for quality have been the foundation of iCab’s success.
Passionate about Geelong’s cabinetmaking industry, Gary also serves as the President of Independent Cabinet Makers Geelong (ICM Geelong), where he advocates for excellence and collaboration within the local industry.
